Most of those bays look like they’ve got almost a trailer’s width seperating each one

Fowler Welch driver at fault. Merc driver might have gone home without having to do reams of paperwork if he’d gone right back in the bay in the first place. There is plenty of room in this yard, not the biggest but not tight.
FAO Carryfast, if you look at the map location the bays on the top of the map where you see trailers parked close together are where those two drivers were parked. The loading bays are lower down the picture and in this case only alternate bays were being used when the pic was taken.
Seen this happen at least twice coming off the bays at Boots Nottingham. I always tuck my mirrors in now and keep going out to check because they have the stupid stay out of cab rule.

Looking at the picture the loading bays do have a hatched area/separation, but the parking bays opposite look quite tight.

Unless I’m looking at this wrong, wasn’t the Fowler Welch truck that pulled out and the Merc that he hit in those tighter parking spots opposite the bays?

I think it’s me who was looking at the wrong side.Which probably also explains the staggered parking because that side doesn’t seem to be loading bays just parking slots.

Some of the newer more spacious depots where I was had loading bays about as close,if not closer,than those parking slots but where I was based it was a case of just enough room to walk sideways between the trailers to wind down the legs and put the brakes on.
