Very few women around nowadays who can give you everything you want so at times one might look elsewhere to get what they want…

I had a job out all week came home early to surprise her indoors. guess who got the surprise?
I always have to rush home quick to beat the MILKMAN! to DEATH!
plenty of spare down the road, WHO cares?
My wife complained that I wasn’t earning enough as a fireman. I decided to do a bit of class 1 work on my days off to boost the income, now she complains I’m never at home…you just can’t win!

I’m very lucky with my girlfriend, sometimes i worry that it bothers her, she just says, “your only at the end of the phone”.
I’m proud of my LGV partner
When we first met we both worked in a supermarket, he then went onto being a flt driver, but he hated the place he worked at, I helped him with his theory (testing and testing him), bit my nails to the quick when he was having his tests, cried for him when he failed, punched the air with joy when he passed. As I knew it was what he wanted to do.
That’s not to say that I don’t worry about him on the road, especially when the weather is bad, but I know it’s a job that makes him happy, plus I get total control of the remote during the week, just a shame that I have to cope with a bag of dirty clothes and rank socks on a Friday
I met my hubby whilst working together in a supermarket also. He’d wanted to drive for years but his previous partner made it pretty much impossible for him to take his test. We got together and I helped him to get through his tests and encouraged him to transfer to one of the local RDC’s working nights. Though now working via an agency due to circumstances beyond our control, he continues to work nights, our young girls get to spend time with their daddy every afternoon, I get my space and we appreciate our time together as a family and, on the odd rare night out as a couple. 10 years down the line and I would change our relationship and he’s happy driving his truck
My lass likes it when i get paid! Not that i see any of it. lol
They say opposites attract, i guess thats true in my case.
My Mrs hates my job, i love it.
One of my old jobs meant I used to do between 4/5 nights out a week, so through a bit of family pressure i took a job, a pound an hour more, better hours and hardly any nights out.
Lost about 8 grand that year !
Depending on circumstances, the grass is not always greener !
Got a job now where i only have to do 4 days on 3 nights out ! So quite a good compromise ! And the money’s actually better
Doing a bit of agency over here in Australia, my missus worries over me as we are in mid winter … 20c and bright blue skies wearing a t-shirt so so bad!!!
Do not miss the winter at all in good ole UK!

It’s the only BONUS a wife can BLOW!
My wife was proud when I passed my HGV test, and is OK with me doing the odd day driving here and there, but hates the idea that I might take it up as a permanent job, even if my own industry is on its knees and I might not be working in it for much longer. She’d rather I was on the dole, than driving for a living, in case I ever had to stop out overnight - the one thing she’s got a real bee in her bonnet about. Even when I explained that if I run out of hours I don;t get a choice, she’d still rather I took the chance on a big fine than stay over…
My Dad still can’t understand why I’d ever want to drive a lorry for a living, despite (or perhaps because of) him driving one for a good chunk of his life. My eldest son (16) thinks it’s a crap job, but at least my two younger ones think it’s ‘cool’!
I still much prefer it to sitting in an office though!

My mum likes trucks Family & friends haven’t got a problem with it as it’s my life and my choice.
Yeah my missus is glad I’m a HGV driver, she thinks I’m far more suited to being a driver rather than being office based. She also thinks its a very manly job!!!
She does worry about bad weather and gets a bit peed off when I’m away, my mum worrys too when bad weather has hit us.
My sister just takes the mickey as she thinks I will become 20 stone.
