Yoghurts and Wet wipes

The M9 motorway was closed in both directions near Grangemouth for quite a few hours to day, does any one know what was up?

Wet wipes? Christ almighty. What next…

“police capture hgv driver sneezing”

PC scruffy Gardiner said in a statement, “the driver shut his eyes briefly and held a tissue over his nose. If a car was overtaking him at the time, it could have resulted in death”

It is impossible to sneeze without closing your eyes…so you presumably aren’t allowed to sneeze when driving then… :unamused: :unamused:

I think will find sneezing is and has been cited as an “acceptable” cause of various accidents.

You can’t choose when you sneeze you can choose when to use both hands to eat a yoghurt.

It’s about time that people started to accept that some things are not safe, sensible or remotely a good idea when driving. If common sense was more prevalent in today’s society we would all be safer and better off.

tellin ya were gunna be done for changing gear, looking in the mirror, looking at your speedo etc etc in the next few years.

A young lad 13 years old was found on the westbound lane at 0 545. I passed the spot on my way to start at bp at 4am and passed the spot on my way out of grangemouth, the road was still closed when i arrived back at 5pm.the young lad came from nearby polmont so dont know if he tried to take a shortcut over the m9. (rip another young life wasted).

We should be sewn into our hi-viz vests, airlifted into the cab and have our hands super-glued to the steering wheel in the ‘ten to two’ position and be allowed only to move our head to look in one of the 125 mirrors fitted in case a cyclist on more important business wants to be in front.

No food or drink allowed, no smoking, no changing gears, listening to the radio (in case our attention is diverted by singing along) or telephone calls. Drive for 4.5 hours, stop in a readily available designated parking place (drive in, drive out - reverse gear will be removed for safety), where we will have our control chip re-set for the next 4.5 hours…

I am a driver, not a robot.

I recon that’s only 10yrs away grumpybum

All highly dangerous grumpybum. Rgds “most indignant”. It’s a wonder how we manage to drive for all these years without causing massive pile ups eh?

hi, alamcculloch.I sent a reply to your question about the m9 being closed on saturday, a young lad aged 13 was found on the west bound lane of the m9.I passed the place at 4oclock in my car going to bp. I drove a mini-coach down that way at about 10.00A.M. Sat.morning and was diverted off the Mway passengers started saying are we there already.I was going to Musselburgh!Very sad for the people involved R.I.P.I have family of that age.

The above was composed before I seen previous posts about M9 …our yard is just off juction 6 ,I grow up just 1/2 mile away I too noted it was shut of on Saturday morning at 08.00 then again on my return at 12.00 …there has been deaths at this same point before …I will admit we crossed there as teens never thinking about the dangers , just because it saved you 15 mins walk , I seen one facebook page to day and the post sayed something about the young boy was last seen in Grangemouth at 21.50 heading for home …to be in the house in polmont for.
