Either turn that friggen TV down or put a news/sports channel on. Everytime I have been in there its ALLWAYS got Jeremy Kyle on!!! I can only assume the TV is for the women who work there to watch cos no man i know wants to watch JK whilst eating food.
Why is the shower priced at £2.55? It seems a very odd price whats wrong with £2.50 or something nice and round
Food is a tad expensive for the portion you get. Other cafes do a larger portion for the same price so raise your game and match them.
All in all its a good cafe and the showers are large and cleaned to a good standard. However I only use risby as somewhere to get a shower and only have a coffee cos the price of the food keeps my hand out of my wallet!
I agree on the price of the showers being a little too high - most others are £1.50 -
the price of the food with portions seemed ok last time i stopped there - quality was good too
i agree about the TV Channels -
the whole place just seems too sterile inside too - nothing comfortable in there - maybe a corner with a couple of comfy chairs and a coffee table -
You also need to mention the White Horse is within walking distance - open log fire , home cooked food , local beers etc
the truck wash is fantastic - but you need to advertise the prices -
put a car in the layby with a big sign on the back - you’ll treble the numbers in one day

yep explored that avenue,
now apparently because the a14 is now classed as a motorway, you are not allowed to advertise anything in a field anymore, ( even though on my travels i have seen loads of trailers in fields)
it is not alowed to be advertised as a REST AREA as they aparently dont exist in this country,
its not a services because it does not have petrol pumps, only derv
there will be signs put up on a board very soon (again) but these are always taken down and destroyed by the council…

Don’t forget the transport press, possibly trade unions could be an angle re decent facilities for their members?
Its a Trucker Cafe in Welham Green on the A1000 towards Potters Bar,comming from A1 Junction 2,which opens early but closes much more early,which means not many Truckers.
But they are happy.just going up with Price to keep Profit comming in.
Think they changed Management now.
