I gave my employees £150 cash each , bought them a breakfast last week and a cake today , plus there a have a few non bank holiday days which I will pay them even though they are at home , they do have to use there last few days of there holiday up as well though .

I know one load is going to Accrington & 2 loads are booked for Solihull 12.00 & 14.00, God knows what time they’ll get back.
I nearly jacked the job, the first year they did this to me, thank God I’m finished now. Saves a lot of arguing with the ‘Teachers’ tomorrow. (It’s worse than a primary school).

If it was me (and it wouldn’t be; Christmas Eve is far too deep into my Christmas break), the only trace left of me when the last man got back would be the tyre marks my car left on the tarmac as I sped away.

We all got a fifteen quid Sainsbury’s voucher and five quid a month bonus for the previous year. There are also various tins of Quality Street knocking about the office (and three piled up in the general manager’s office where he thinks no one will find them … might just have to open one of those and share it out) and, as the night manager, I’ve dipped into my own pocket and brought in mince pies and nibbles for the night staff.
Used to work for a three letter, huge global firm and got either cash, (100 euros) or gift cards for high street shops or bottles of wine and tins of sweets, which were great for Xmas pressies.
Now I work for a small family firm and got…sod all. Miserable ■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■■■
So much for family firms being better than big ones.
Got the normal Christmas bonus.
I can come back in January.

Mate, your all mugs. Been on a 50% pay uplift since the beginning of December. Will pick up about a grand bonus in January. Means i can clear off to Spain for a month or so. Don’t you know drivers are in short supply, get the best deal you can.
