So where are they on bulk trailers?Fixed not tippers
Vosa are probably accepting that fitment is not practicable, as is the case with certain other items - it is not normal to see car transporters with rear marker boards. However p 182 does mention fitting these lamps at chassis level; as can be seen on skeletal trailers. It is quite common to see the rear ones on stalks at chassis level.
A ‘T.O.’ at the test station will probably give you chapter and verse. There are exceptions to all sorts of requirements, some based on practicability, others on original construction. For example see page 127 section 34 relating to certain Merc and Iveco models.

“Chapter and verse at a test station” would call it crap on yet more crap meself.Never see a truck mechanic work at a test station too much chance of them knowing what the hell they are talking about and not “going by the book”.
That couldnt be why most of the “testers” learnt their “job” in the military could it?
