Would you prefer to unload/load yourself in a RDC?

You’ll be expecting the pilot of a A380 to start walking down the isle dishing out meals as soon as the planes taken off :unamused:

I once caught a plane from Birmingham to Norwich. It was a twelve seater i think, and once we were pointing in the right direction, the pilot got up and poured coffee or tea for those who wanted it.

Bloody hell. He must’ve boiled the kettle before take off.

My experience of tipping at Lidl in Livingston, you were never out the door any quicker having sat waiting 2 hrs with a pager to get a bay, then waiting again til the monkey on the desk checked it off & did paperwork. As for the ‘exercise’…walking beside an electric pallet truck is hardly doing you a lot of good in real exercise terms.

You’ve got to get ‘there’ by 6am or forget it.

As for the exercise… a good walk never did any harm and it’s more than some drivers get. If you did that once a day or even more… it could save your life…

I did not mind too much helping unload or unloading myself if it meant I did not have to wait 3/4 hours, BUT I drew the line at splitting loads, I was barred from the TESCO RDC at Southampton (I think it was Southampton) because I refused to split a full load of fruit and veg down.
