no this was a genuine mistake. i swear on my own life and would not try to bend the rules let alone break them. i am thinking of just coming clean and telling the boss to get it all in the open and over and done with. it will make life so much easier in the end, for everyone!
Would you tell your boss if Plod asked you politely, and by the sounds of it, in a laid-back kinda way, to shift the vehicle a measley 400 yards from any other place you’d parked up?
I’m not sure about police procedures but not sure what they could ‘write’ to your boss about, especially if they’ve told you to move it on the highway, off the tacho?

i have just been to see the boss and he was cool about it.
just asked if i did as i was asked and i said i did and told him about the tacho thing and he said oh well, we wont hear any more from that then.
at least it has come from me if anything does get mentioned in the future.
like bikemonkey said, i was worrying about nothing.
even been offered another 4 nights out next weekend at blackpool again but dont know if i will take it, there is no-one to look after my dog as the wife is working all weekend unless
scruffy dog and his seat belt can come with me
