Just been working for a chap driving c/e, Anyhow this chap is a one man band all the trucks are old tacho form and yes he is that type were he likes you to work 7 days.
People like him need to named and shamed and need driven out of this industry, as they are stuck in a timewarp and still think it’s the 1970’s where this type of practice was rife.
This is quiet easy its your licence and your life ! people will ask things of you in the game , but in the end it comes down to you its you that looses your licence and its you that would be dealing with the aftermath of a serious accident it really dosent matter what other peoples opinions are the choice is yours !
Would I drive it?
Yes.
In a field. An empty field. A big one with thick, soft hedges.
That sounds ridiculous, and a little OTT, so I’ve changed my mind.

Now that sounds just like things were back in the old days in fact some o the jobs I had that motor would have been the pride o the fleet. Eddie
Yeah been there too, they were great days , from which many a story was spawned, but would I drive that sort off crap now, not on your life, its just not acceptable. Bit like how as kids we used to sit cushions in the back off Mums Bedford HA van to get anywhere , but I wouldn’t dream off having My kids travel this way.

That’s what VOSA vehicle examiners and public enquiries are for though.
The problem with the many posts on here relating to alleged poor vehicle maintenance is that it creates an idea drivers need to be on constant alert for cowboy operators but in reality accidents resulting from poor maintenance are exceptionally rare.
