Would you change jobs?

DearBoy:
Would I change jobs?

A vacancy for Cheryl Cole’s personal gynaecologist paying £50k might tempt me but whilst I wait for the vacancy to arise I’ll stick. I’m happy with what I do, what I get for it, how I’m treated and how far away it is - a novel concept for Trucknet.

I’m not giving up my Part Time Job for anybody [emoji12]

76 that’s nothing I’m doing 79 each way 4 days a week

That must be one highly paid job if it justifies that commute. Seriously, how do you cope with that!?

My current commute home is 40 minutes and that drives me mad, as soon as a job with the right hours & money crops up nearer to home i’ll be off!

I left driving 18 months ago for a temporary contract on the railway that keeps getting extended as other jobs come up, now under contract until April next year. I do 4 days a week 1st week 7 hours per day 2nd week 9.5 hours per day. I get £85 per day traveling on top of my basic £30000 per year so even though its 2.5 hours a day traveling I think its worth it.

Gone from 6 miles over a 5 day week to 120 miles over 4 days.

Not really bothering as its all motorway and im only 15-20mins commute. Also even with extra driving time im nowhere near doing the hours out that i was doing in my previous jobs work and traveling time.

I used to commute from Hitchin,Herts to Edmonton ,90 odd miles round trip, but the job was worth it,
before that I used to go to Hayes,Middlesex 100 miles round trip but had a company van -blinding job that was (did that for seven years!!)
now I have a five minute drive to and fro.(another decent job so well happy)■■■■■■■■ to spending up to three hrs every day getting to and from work.never again lol
