I can imagine Grand Ma curtains as being gingham with a nice lace trim, but Grand Dad ones? Maybe nicotine yellowed from the pipe smoke? Or brown n yellow stripes like a Werther`s Original?

For Christ’s sake don’t ask Dipperdave’s opinion on Grandma curtains, I’ve got a light delicate stomach today.

I could be wrong but I would envisage grandma curtains to have a texture similar to burnt pulled pork. Its very unlikely due to age that these curtains would ever fully close but if they did chances are they would be a bugger to open like parting velcro.

Also covered in biscuit crumbs

I feel it would be easier to start a thread asking for the best ones, as I would think there are very few.

+1
Also bits of tissue, unidentifiable fluff and pet hairs.

I think Im gonna be sick. Dunno if its due to the laughing, or the image of . . . Oh No.

You knew what was coming folks as soon as the words ’ old ’ and ’ curtains ’ were mentioned!

Still funny though.

Any Msa operated by Roadchef and Moto who treat drivers with no respect, Clackett Lane is £30 , at least ■■■■ Turpin had the decency to wear a mask to commit highway robbery .
The best one is Gloucester with real food, clean showers , cafe open all night for early starts .

It don’t seem to matter which one you pull up in, the tarmac between the truck park and the facilities reeks of a certain liquid that leaves one Willy hose…

Toddington, apart from Greggs :stuck_out_tongue:

Watford gap,newp pagnell,bleak,festering ■■■■■ holes and Mimms,like a painting by Bosche.

I’ll never understand why drivers choose to subsidise these ■■■■ holes on principle alone, whether their boss pays or not.
Is it a lack of imagination or what, coupled with running to the last half minute. :unamused:

Legalised extortion, and certainly a complete ■■■■ take.

Any Road Chef ones.
Lymm with it’s awful truck accessories shop full of all ride crap.

Says the man who used to have frilly curtains in a day cab

Never had any curtains in a day cab, had a day cabbed Scania that came with a pelmet jobbie thing. It swayed around in front of my eyes so much it almost hypnotised me into thinking I had a good job. I say it nearly did.
Not allowed “any of that poncey crap” I’ve been told. My boss only just tolerates my nameplate in the window but he takes it out just to move my truck in the yard to wash it.

Your boss washes your lorry for you!!!
Bl**dy H*ll - what’s the job coming to these days!

I agree with you about the lack of value for money shall we say, but my lot force us to park “secure”. It’s a sackable offence not to, although they would only sack someone if they had the load or diesel nicked. Personally I’m not willing to risk a good job

Tris:
Colsterworth, an utter dump. All the money they rake in yet you’re parked in a muddy field. I’d rather eat the rotten food at Markham moor and park on Tarmac than use Colsterworth. And then they have the cheek to issue a pathetic food voucher to bring the cost back down to what it should be anyway.

Are you serious!!!

Colsterworth is ace, food showers are ace but parking is poor.

Food vouchers generally just bring the price of dinner down to what it should be to start with.

Yep, usually pays his sons to help sort all three trucks. I hate washing trucks, just mind numbing. I’d gladly wash a truck everyday if I could use a truck wash at the services.

Why am I getting a mental image of pulling apart a cheese toastie?
