I passed my car test in 2003 in 2 tests, also I wanted my class 1 to get away from taxi driving. In Wakefield Asians people are obsessed with taxis. I passed my class 2 worked for brakes, BFp, 3663, then I did that for three years.I am working about 4 to 5 days a week. So I am happy. Also my dad was a taxi driver.

I personally wouldn’t pay £12,000 for a licence, but as long as you’re happy with what you’re doing good luck to you.

I considered quitting it all when I failed my 3rd attempt but my instructor knew my fails were (mostly) due to exam stress and persuaded me to take one final shot at it.
The examiner said at the end of the 4th: “Well… I’ll give you a licence, grudgingly, but I wouldn’t give you a job!”
Thankfully I’ve been a model employee ever since
