i cannot believe we have all been adhering to a rule which does not exsist. 
looks like i will have to set the gaffer straight tomorrow,and likely as not when they have checked out what they need to a memo to all drivers will follow.
im pretty astounded at the ignorance to the guidelines at the moment by myself.looks like i need some bedtime reading.

just think you would not have to take any break if you worked lets say 2 hours driving and 1 hours work in that day the rest of the time you could be on POA if you so desired so you can do a 15 hour shift but on work for a few hours and have no breaks at all under any regs what so ever
also would like to add if you boss tells you have 30 mins at six hours why not take it,he/she is the boss after all, just cos its in the regs that you can split it in two 15 mins, and then you see if you just happen to have to take a driving break you will have to have an other 30 mins and that way you would win in the long run if your paid for breaks
