Someone seems to have forgotten a lot of parties for the poll… SNP for me.
Wheel Nut:
‘… Turkeys voting for Christmas … for the democratically elected MP … without a seat…’
A UK candidate might perhaps argue that wholesale UK disengagement from the EU is more worthwhile than gormlessly watching the Gravy Train rip UK off & thus dedicate themselves to re-establish a proper UK democracy within its slimy parts?
Wheel Nut:
TOTAL [of] 736 [MEPs]
All with a voting stake in our nation whom incidentally all over-ride whatever your MP wants & whoever your MP is!(No veto will exist even for the PM after the Lisbon Treaty is ratified ie, after Ireland has been made to vote again!)
Wheel Nut:
‘…how is it that we blame everything on Brussels but there are only 22 MEP for Belgium…’
Many have little need to ‘…blame…’ anything upon Brussels since we are watching it roll away with our Crown jewels …but others argue that the UK has diddly-squat to thank it for due to its insideous intrusion alienating our UK tradition (pints/pounds weight, etc), culture (what we can put in a sausage) values (giving away millions when our schools & hospitals are gagging for pennies, making all Euro-foreigners welcome), etc, etc
Wheel Nut:
We seem to be bullied and we have more representatives than anyone except
Germany and equal with France
Fair point, but representatives are corralled collectively since they’re mostly pro-EU (apart from the UK led and much copied Mr N. Farage & co who is much admired by other EU country nationals wanting their democracy, etc back too).
Meanwhile, considering that we are nationally equal to Luxembourg, how does one feel to have had this situation enforced upon the UK without the electorate having been democratically consulted since 1972?
Wheel Nut:
Is it only me who sees the irony of it all?Voting UKIP is akin to Turkeys voting for Christmas. Well for the democratically elected MP it will be.
Vote for us vote for us. I will get you out of Europe. Doh. A UKIP MEP without a seat
As I understand it, if we are not in Europe we would not need an MEP
correct and its something i have questioned. the candidates are well aware that they are going to lose their jobs as MEPs if UKIP get into westminster but they think it is worth it to get out of the EU. i think its quite admirable myself
Interesting how most on here are banging on about UKIP or “None of the above”, when so far, 20 out of 45 have selected BNP.
What a sad state of affairs.
I think only limeyphil has had the balls to admit which way he would vote.
People who vote BNP are either racist thugs or don’t know what they actually stand for. Thankfully it seems that UKIP and the Greens are the ones going to benefit most this time around. Don’t agree with anything UKIP stand for, but anything better than the BNP.
Conservative. As tofer said, there’s something about BNP - I suspect that if they eve got into power, we would see a considerable extension of their somewhat dodgy manifesto.
Half tempted by UKIP. As Neil Kinnock ( I know - not much of an endorsement) said when he was Trade Commissioner; if we pulled out of Europe tomorrow, it wouldn’t have any effect on our trade with the rest of Europe.
Will be voting ukip this time . Not really a fan of them just voting for them as i think the main partys need to see we are not happy with them and it seems ukip and the bnp are the two partys with the biggest following but i couldnt vote bnp as i dont agree with there politics.
i don’t know who i will vote for either Tories or lib Dem’s
I’m sick of all this war talk… just go out there and bomb hell out of them till either disappear in a giant cloud or beg for forgiveness, all this gently gently tactics make me sick.
who am i voting for well that a question and my answer is
no one cos no mater who is in power the will still [zb] the country and the people,
Any way IMHO i thing this is a loads of rubbish there are more important thing going on in this country then the expenses scam, and its about time there got on with the more important things
Those who say they don’t vote, as “politicians are all the same… they all p*** in the same pot…etc…etc” tend to be the ones most vocal about the state of the country.
If it was up to me, I would say that if you don’t vote in three consecutive elections then you should be disenfranchised for life.
No vote, No voice.

I haven’t voted since 1979, but I would vote for that idea. It would save on those little bits of card they keep sending me.
The expenses scandal claims yet another scalp. However, it is now clear that this is fast becoming a witch-hunt aimed at scuppering Cameron’s chances at the general election.
A number of MPs from all sides have not just fiddled their exes, but have broken the law.
But that’s the crucial issue here. MPs from all sides have behaved dishonourably, not just Tories, and while is it is funny to go on and on about duckponds, servants’ quarters, moat cleaning and other outlandish claptrap, the media seem to be giving the two most important people in government an easy ride.
Gordon Brown, claimed for two different second homes, while living at Downing Street since 1997. He spread the cost of a new kitchen over two separate accounting periods, and put the flat he bought from Robert Maxwell in his wife’s name.
Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling “flipped” his home four times in four years, claimed back his stamp duty and claimed for an accountant to advise him how to avoid paying tax!!!
And all-but-silence from the mainstream media.

sorry a bit of topic but no stars allowed… but you could have always written ■■■■.
The mainstream party leaders could all join the Gay Mormons, support the Waco Fire Department and argue that the Holocaust was a dream, they will still get my vote as the BNP cannot do anything to improve this country, or anyone elses.
There are too many British people fighting for democracy in Afghanistan and Iraq, don’t waste their lives by not using your vote.
In UKIP,s manefesto they say they will Introduce a ‘Britdisc’ (vignette) on foreign lorries not paying anything for British roads, and crack down on ‘killer lorries’ (overladen or dangerous). Gets my vote ,as it affects our whole industry competition wise.
Wheel Nut:

There’s a lot of people in Mixenden that would disagree. Since BNP took that seat, they’ve seen some massive improvements to their own situations and lives. Local projects such as fixing up kids play areas, sorting out community centres - things that have been promised by party after party, but conveniently forgotten once they get the seat. Things that matter to the people voting.
Still not getting my vote though
If they were standing here I’d go Pirate party. They’re not aiming to get into power, they want to challenge -most importantly- the Digital economy bill and copyright, but also issues of privacy and data protection. If they’re standing in your area it’s well worth checking out their manifesto
According to this I should be voting UKIP

So they seem to want to finally kill off the UK haulage industry. Doesn’t get my vote as I feel we should do something to help hauliers and not heap more costs on them.
tbh i dont know who ill vote for, mainly because i dont have a clue what any of them “will do for me” (i use that term lightly)
anyway i wont be in the country to vote so yea.

None of them will do anything for you, they’re all in it for themselves no matter what bull ■■■■ they feed you
i should just draw a small ■■■■■ on the voting card and put an arrow leading from all their names to it.
