Who remembers Sheila Tracy and her ‘Truckers Hour’ ■■

Must have been very early eighties.

I seem to remember it ran for a year or two (on radio 2) and was then cut from an hour to a 10 or 15 minute slot . . . I stand to be corrected as my memory aint what it was

I’m sure she used to play all thoses old country and western trucking songs, the ones that are all about a dying one eyed puppy and a small hungry orphan whose only toy in the world had spontaneously combusted, those sort of happy songs

Remember listening to her while on night trunk, that would have been about 1979 I think :open_mouth:

A blast from the past…
Remember listening whilst driving an ERF for Smiths Crisps on nights, radio worked but thats about all :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

I met her @ Truckfest Newark - not sure if that might even have been the 1st EVER Truckfest … seem to remember it was Easter and it SNOWED  … still got a signed promo photo of her tucked in my cocktail cabinet.
Never got to listen to her radio show … was always tucked up in bed for my 4 am alarm. I remember hearing she got into trouble reading out stuff drivers had sent in, as it was CB slang … turned out some of it was RUDE ( who would have thought truckers could be rude )
