Feel better about Penrith now.
Have only 3days holidays left as like taking majority in Summer not middle of Winter!!!
Back out midnight boat Wed but hopefully home early boat Fri.

Booked the whole of Xmas off not back till 2/1/18 loading for Italy
back in Wednesday to Saturday…No Rest In Retail…very little anyway
Norfolk to Leeds and back Wednesday, and up the tartan track Thursday, and back Friday.
In on Wednesday for as many days as I can until New Years Eve. Back in the cab on New Years Day overnight for an early doors escape on 2nd.
I hate this time of year. Costs me a fortune in lost work.

Kipping in cab new years day for an early start back?
Complaining about time off?
Itching to get back before you even start your hols?
And the ‘lay by sig’ to boot.
Diagnosed as a terminal case of ‘Cab Happy Syndrome’ bud. 
Just an observation btw not an insult.
Me too Rob, I have a 0500 booking at Aldi Cardiff on the 2nd Jan. I’m damned if I’m leaving at half past midnight to get there !
I will run down New Years Day on double pay and park close by. I would rather be at home new years days but hey ho!

That’s how I would do it.
We have a star at our place who kips in his truck in yard on a Sunday night and on Bank hols, and leaves at half past midnight, instead of leaving on the day for a higher rate + his night out.
Defies logic and common sense to me.
Like most I only work cos I have to. The old saying I work to live not live to work.
There’s more to life than spending it in a ■■■■ truck.
Btw…Did you try the breakfast at Cedar Cafe the other week ?..or am I mixing you up here.

Not meaning to come across as Mother Hen here mate, but if you’re meaning kids you’ll regret that, they grow up too fast and it leaves you with regrets being away all the time…fact, trust me on that.

Almost missed it rob, but did manage to get in, quite a few trucks in the layby, 10 out of 10 for breakfast 
Start Wednesday again got 3 days on a flatbed moving concrete slabs cant wait.Then a will be off till the 3rd going to keep holidays for the wifes 40th take her and the kids away somewere hot and sunny.
just finished 15.30 today (xmas eve) back in 12.30 tues then next day off is new years day then back in again tues. ( yes i’m a money grabbing Ltd company limper and proud of it!

Nothing to be ashamed of , you’ve got to put food on table and you’re not paid holiday where as I am but still working OT on Wednesday

Only 3 days in then my 3 rest days. Worked out well this year…next year on the other hand
