These have just started international services…from Aberdeen.

But it might actually work out if you are based in Kent: from their perspective you’re probably already half way to wherever they are going.
Ryanhart a Dutch firm go all over.
Nottheger transport in Austria, a family firm , go all over with food/juice tankers and general haulage.
Willi Betz go to Afghanistan, KBR used to do supplies there on fuel tankers and fridge work, not sure if they still do it.

Also Centrum,a Dutch firm, go to some far flung places.I think they and possibly Willi Betz prefer someone with ability to understand Cyrillic script, and be able to speak Russian.Try Trans Am ,Redburn Transfer etc.Lots of tour truck drivers on here just do a bit of a search.

Yes, that’s who I’d go for if I was looking for very long distance work.
If you like horses.
Try parkers horse transport at Hythe.
My brother in law gets all over.

Kev, I can’t wait to you see the look of relief on a Dutch employers face because you can speak English, never mind Dutch…
Cant see how English language is beneficial if the guy wants to do Kazakhstan, more likely he would need Russian language knowledge, to go to that side of the world.
Of course when it comes down to communicating with the transport office you need to know it, but once your on the road, somewhere in Russia, the chances of someone speaking English are very low.
That was in response to me, not the original poster. I was querying working for an Idridgehay/European firm based out of Hull. Don’t fancy Kazakhstan myself tbh

So really, although my point was for Kev and not the OP, I’m right…?

Or the rather infamous Richard long
Hungarion firm Waberers most likley will go there, and maybe Romanian firm Edy Trans, or subbies for LK Walters in Austria.
Some firms in Spain will venture that far too.
saw one of Croome’s wag and drags today, reminded me of this. They get to far flung place I think

They’re all on Lithuanian plates now aren’t they? I’d imagine they’d have drivers to match.

I think the company split years ago but all the ones I’ve seen since I started driving in 2005 have been on LT plates. Presumably with Lithuanian drivers, at any rate they were not British. Not sure when all this happened but before I was on the scene.

Are you parked in the Londacamp? Is it even still there?
Do you want very long distance or Continental experience freelancing?
There are many cities in Southern Europe that are on a par with delivering around London for pain in the arse factor.
When I lived in Kent, I made a very comfortable living freelancing for Taft,Clan and Heritage. May not have been the deepest into Europe I’ve ever been (popped my Swiss cherry with Clan International ) but made a tidy sum doing so and each of the mentioned companies were an absolute pleasure to work for, always paid on time and was never short of work.
