Just had a call of one of my drivers who is currently in hospital, so depending on his call tomorrow morning I might be shipping out tomorrow night, tipping in the hills outside Malaga on Wednesday reloading Murcia on Thursday, topping up in Issoire on the way back and tipping it in Weybridge early part of the following week.
Its years since I crossed the channel and will make a change from sitting behind my desk! Have yet to break it to the wife though

I’ll be based in our Rushden depot this week. I start my new role as a relief driver so I’ll be living in a small Merc Actros for the week!
After 2 very busy weeks, Chartres to Limoges and Cahors then Carcassonne to Nontron and Avranches (the latter involved a Great Dane climbing over my shoulder and a Pyrenean Mountain Dog snapping at me and drawing blood because he didn’t like me reaching into his cage to unclip a lead ), I’ve got a week off.
So Monday, a traditional end of visit meal at the Hôtel de France in St. Pardoux la Rivière with friends returning to Blighty. Top class nosh for €15 each.
Future plans involve, amongst others, an English Setter from Périgueux to Llandrindod Wells, an Otterhound from Chateauroux to Dover, a Braque/Pointer from Guéret to London and the usual Dutch changeovers at Blincourt routier, north of Senlis.
im on for 2 more nights doing generators then off for 4 to 6 weeks as im off to hospital on wed morning for an operation on my knackered knee
8 o’clock Lewisham, tip, then meet one of our older wagons outside the LEZ somewhere, swap trailers and head back to site at Lewisham.
hospital to give Blood sample and then to an agency i got invited.
Shunting coke between immingham docks and killingholme

Hopefully this means all week Im on the Peterhead trunks
