Who else swears by Google Streetview?

Same here! Don’t use a satnav, but a quick peek at street view is a major boon!

I find it a very handy tool but be careful as the images can be out of date by a couple of years and we all know how fast trading estates change and pop up or companies change addresses even names, but for the most part I use it when a bit lost lol

I wouldn’t say ‘swear by it’, but I use it a good bit and it has been useful.

+1

Its only a good as the person using it…

Google maps on the phone & a Collins atlas of the area are the best navigation tools , in rural Pembrokeshire google is 99.9% spot on, the map is usually just to confirm there is a farm there, street view is perfect for zooming on house names …

Yea, looked up some places and all it’s shown me is a pile or rubble / building site where it should be.

The whole scheme must cost Google a fortune, they constantly have cars going about taking fresh photos. It’s interesting sometimes when bored to go exploring streets in Tokyo or Singapore etc. Tourism from your armchair!
