which truck

Harry , you sound just how i feel about the uk , its full of never done that never will but can tell you everthing , i have tried my best to get out of the trucking industry but it always comes bck to -what can i do that pays this sort if money ?- and being locked in an office or factory i cant do , being parked up with drivers who bore you with tales of the route to x or the best way to aviod traffic on the b668524741 on route to tescos at chippenham just makes me glaze over and wish i had a big bat ■■?
and sometimes when im in the uk and stop for something to eat i go and look at the menu and the list of pie and chips or egg and chips or the great phrase if it can fit in the frying pan ill cook it, i wish for a nice salad followed by lomo in garlic sauce with saute potatoes followed by creme de catalan and a big glass of red wine , all for about 8quid , when night owl start doing that then ill stop there !!
i feel the same about being a bore so i do the same and try to stay away from everyone , i know some people think i am being snobby but i would rather that than tell them what i think of them ,
i find i am better by myself which after all is the reason most of us do this job to please ourselves and what i am doing now is the ultimate please myself because i am not up to the neck in debt and if i miss i trip a month its not the end of the world , i am only trying for 33 trips a year which is 3 trips for 10 months then 2 trips over 2 months which is real easy , so fingers crossed
like i said nice talking to you and its always nice getting some one elses view on things chris

The funny thing is that a little while back I went to a re-union of about 50 int. drivers. Nearly all were doing UK work now. Any one of those drivers I would have loved to meet on the road & gladly run with them. But seeing so many at once I O/D on them ( Overdosed ) & now sadly dont really care if I see them again. It was a strange feeling eating at this restaurant with them again. There was the same ambience & sound of drivers eating, talking & telling jokes that you only get in Routiers all over Europe. Its a feeling you cant get anywhere else except with your own kind. It was also strange when we left the restaurant I expected to see 50 trucks parked up outside, but of course, the streets were empty. It was a great time & very nostalgic but somehow, for me the itn. job was over. On the bright side I have found out ( I think ) how to upload pictures to this site so I will be going down memory lane with all the old snaps I took ( if I can find them ). Take it easy Chris & get pedalling .Harry.
PS: “Give Me a Call When You Are Empty.” How many times have we heard that & laughed out loud ■■?
