mitigating circumstances, looks to me like the coachie pulled out into the path of the hgv ,so he was in the wrong
That’s exactly what happened. Bus driver is a bellend of the worst order
boredwivdrivin:
Possible mitigating circumstances in this case for bussy would be if Scania is indicating left into where ever bus has come from , but went straight on instead .
Not likely, the only excuse the bus driver has is he is a prat.

so what mitigating circumstances is he claiming?
The crash was in 2014,should be sorted now.
mucker85:
Can someone help identify the haulage firm and if anyone knows the driver of the truck. The coach driver was at fault but is claiming mitigating circumstances. I would be interested in hearing the truck driver’s account of events. 0
I remember seeing this in the paper in 2014 any reason you’ve dug it out this much later mucker? Is there some case still ongoing?

I haven’t been able to find any result or verdict given. I had the misfortune of bumping into ( no pun intended) the bus driving moron.
I worked just up the road from where this happened and I can confirm that it is local knowledge that it was 100% the fault of the coach driver. I know an ex trucker who is the TM at a coach company near by, and they were told that he was attempting to blame everyone for the accident.

Did the bus driver no get the details ffsmay be both drivers were badly concussed, they carried on there day as normal and only when arriving back at base did their respective bosses say, WTF have you done to my Bus / Lorry. Now they are trying to find each other on social media … you can’t make this shoot up.
I don’t think they were going to be carrying on their day full stop, the Scania has the cab knocked back off its mounts and the coach has a mahoosive dent in the side and half the windows are smashed. I’m pretty sure the drivers will have noticed that, although the coach driver didn’t spot a ■■■■ off heavy haulage lorry with flashing beacons on it, so it’s probably not safe to make assumptions where he’s concerned.
There seems several people on here who know what happened and I’ve asked several times, but what are the mitigating circumstances according to the coach driver?
