i have had a price of £287 +VAT for Uniroyal drive and £283 +VAT for Uniroyal steer, fitted
We have just been quoted £340 for Michelin remix drive tyres
and £245 for Bridgestone remix drive tyres
I haven’t bought a new Michelin for years due to price. If they want to price themselvesout of the market they’re acheiving that around here. I bought my lorry new with Bridgestones on & had the fronts seperate (can’t recall the milage) so took them all off and fitted Hankooks which I’ve always liked.
I’ve just took four Bridgestones off a drive axle yesterday, they’d done 175,000 klms on tipper work but due to the price of Bridgestones etc now & how a lot of people I know get on with Drive axle Double coins I put 4 of those on at £235 each. I intend sticking to Hankooks on the steer axles and we’ll see how they perform before looking at alternatives. If I bought a new lorry I’d have Bridgestone again without a second thought.

Has anyone had Yokohama ty607’s on?
If so what did you think??
I have a set of non brand name Chinese specials drives for sale if anyone’s interested. Reckon on 9mm of tread left. £125 each, collection From Norfolk/Suffolk border. Diss. Will check depth and exact size and name when I’m next over there. They’ll do someone a turn but they ain’t for me.
I always fitted hankooks all round very happy with cost and wear used to turn them every 6 weeks, they are inbetween a budget and a premium tyre and perform and wear in the premium bracket
crickey that sounds like hard work
