Had a two dropper in Redruth on Tuesday haven’t been there in a few years I forgot how far down it is, two drops and a collection in South Wales Wednesday then 3 days off till Sunday morning when I’m off to Swindon Iceland.

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday Glasgow to Inverness with two drops in Inverness. Wednesday it was Glasgow to Dundee, back to Glasgow, out to Edinburgh and back. Thursday Inverness for the usually two drops… Missed the fatal on the A9, thank god and RIP driver

Been off all last week, driving me mad. Back to work on Monday. 06:00am tip in Leeds City Centre then its back to the yard to reload for another full tip at Doncaster. Not sure whats after that as its not going to take me all day to do that lot.

02.00 Saturday was given the Norwich trunk, which is one I like as being hourly paid I can get the hours in.
Traffic office said no holdups, straight through on the M6, A14, A11, which is the route we use as when there are no roadworks it’s quite a quick run through.
We always have a jump jockey down to Hilton Park, not that we can’t do the round trip in our hours, but if we can’t get there in 4’ 30", being 45 minutes late with having to take your break is not on.
All was well until the stretch of A14 down to the start of the M11, where roadworks closed the slip road at the junction onto the A14 eastbound, with only one lane open going into Cambridge.
Just before The sliproad, I had been overtaken by one of Bartrums and he was in front of me as we went into the outskirts of Cambrdge, and he was not hanging about!
After a few sets of lights, we turned sharp left at a roundabout heading back to the next junction on the A14.
All along this road were 30mph and speed camera signs, and after doing a speed awareness course last year I don’t take any chances, although Bartrum seemed to know something I didn’t, as he was leaving me.
When I passed the speed camera, Bartrum was about 400 yards in front of me, but as I passed the camera I got a double flash!
I immediately checked my speedo which read 31 mph, and then my offside mirror and saw a car going in the opposite direction.
Now the big question is, was it him or me?
Time will tell.
Anyway, made Norwich in 3hours 40, job done, leasurely run home along the A47 which I find a good direct run back to the M1, with very few speed cameras!
Sunday night was my regular Sunday run, tip Middlesborough, tip Washington, the reload out of Team Valley. For a change, no holdups coming back over the M62.
My bin was on the drive way all week and full as they are on strike again
