Where was I in the rain? Completed by montana man

Inselaffe:
I.O.L.

Institute of Linguists. (Degree equivalent.)
I only wanted the stripey tie :grimacing:

Respect!! :sunglasses:
And then along comes a cheeky young (?) :frowning: upstart and tries to teach you how to ■■■■ eggs.
Just German, or are you a full on polyglot?

Nah Inselaffe, you did no such thing.
You had a fair point and it was well-made IMHO.
There’s not that many who understand the imperative, so your (correct  ) comment took me by surprise. (So my RESPECT is to you Sir.)
 Especially as you used a better word than I’d chosen :smiling_imp:
I was quoting from the film, but I’d also picked up on the message in your signature :grimacing:

:open_mouth: I’m actually that sad that I understand the words in the linguistic argument that the centurion used on the graffiti writer :open_mouth:
Even though it referred to Latin, which I’ve never studied.

'fraid it’s just German, cos I’m not bright enough to have 2 foreign languages at “A” level, otherwise I’d have done the more traditional “degree in modern languages” when I went to uni.
I.O.L. is a degree equivalent for academic donkeys (me) who can only offer one foreign language at the standard they require.

I was forced to endure 2 years of Latin at school, so this scene still has me on the floor to this day.

Brian = Me.
Centurion = Mrs Leonard. She didn’t have a sword , but was scary as hell!!

Just dropped that signature in for a bit of fun and to see if it elicited a response.
Didn’t expect it to go off on such a tangent, mind!
Mir hat es Spaß gemacht. Cheers, Dave
