I was based out of Eling Wharf for a couple of years, until they moved to Marchwood, when I had nights out down there, you get to know which pubs do decent food and drink

Nice walk along the path by the sea that goes to Goaty beach.Good view of the ships and a picnic area there.
Old fashioned sweet shop in the village and parking for two artics opposite the shop.
Plenty of takeaways on the main street or walk over the train tracks to more choice.
For a night out,it is not a bad place to be.
