Black bin liner fell on my number plates as i drove in,shame how the wind blows rubbish on the plates.
Why do you want to stop in a MSA anyway?
Stop in MSA and take a free shower in your 45 min break and then find a layby on a trunk road off the motorway.
Better toilet facilities and food in a layby.
But yes, Clacket lane does take the mick. Supply and demand though. If people didn’t stop there the prices would drop.

I can’t see johny foreighner paying nearly 30 quid to park in clacket lane, and since it always seems to be three quarters full of them, they bumped up the price for the numpties that do pay.

Actually, to be fair Limeyphil isn’t far wrong. If you don’t pay and have a boss that is in the same vein then not paying won’t really matter. They will send you a letter threatening to double your fine within 7 days etc. This is to make you panic and pay as they know that they don’t stand a chance getting money out of you through a court and if they did they would still lose out with the costs. Then they will send you more reminders, each time more threatening more expensive, then you just ignore the [zb] and they eventually give up, so yeh, Limeyphil is right.
Unless you run several trucks , when the unpaid parking fines tot up to a considerable amount the parking companies will definitely chase you through the courts. Also not paying can affect credit ratings etc.
Works for small outfits though. So in the words of jack black " stick it to the man "

No they won’t, they never have and won’t go to court because they can’t justify how they have multiplied the original parking fee by many times within a few weeks. All they can legally sue for is the original parking fee plus statutary interest @ 8% apr, and credit ratings are only affected when a court rules there is a debt to be paid and a CCJ is registered.

Now that sounds like voice of experiance.
Sent from a layby stroking one off.
you could all try not paying.
everyone complains about the cost, but does nothing.
who has the balls to try it?
if the boss drags you in the office for not paying. then tell him you’ll deal with it.
then do [zb] all. he won’t know.
they’ll bring the price down eventually.
imagine if one night no one paid at an MSA.
you’re not blockading anything, you’re not committing a criminal offence. they can’t stop trucks from entering.
we all have the law on our side.

Unless you work for a decent company who will pay and then either make the deductions from your wages or start the disciplinary process.
However, limeyphill is never likely to ever work for anything other than ■■■■■ Transport so it’ll never happen to him.
What are the new services on the m25 going to be like? I have seen plans that suggest a separate ‘lorry park’ with separate shower block food hall and driver lounge. In the press pack it states it is to offer drivers a full service whilst on a weekend break.

I thought it was illegal to sell alcohol at an MSA?
Or maybe they mean it’ll have a massage parlour with ‘happy endings’
