I Made a bit of a cockup there Joe.
Got the 6 and the 9 wrong, better do a test on typing.
Got my Class 2 in the Army when I was 18.
Test route was Limavady , Derry.
Paid for my Class 1 when I was 24 or 25 .
The cheapest bloke I could find was a bloke inTamworth.
His test centre and test routes were Birmingham
1974 RAF St Athan for my HGV3
1976 At Army base South Cerney OHH the magic Roundabout in Swindon with the a trailer that was about 20ft long but it certainly made you good at reversing, when it came to pulling a “normal” trailer it was a lot easier, then went to the Royal Navy Exhibition team pulling a Queen Mary trailer around the country with an old Whirlwind helicopter on the back for exhibitions.
We were then given a new AEC Mandator to replace the old Bedford that was a cracking machine up and down the motorways shame the engine blew after 8000 miles.

Ayup Dave,I do the same.Even after Ive checked my typing people dont seem to read it the same as me sometimes
Ive already corrected this reply once
Cheers Joe.
Reading all these posts can somebody confirm if your actually meant to take an additional test to drive an HGV
, if so ooops
no one told me. I got my HGV licence out of a grabber machine on skeggy sea front.
Didn’t mind to much but I really wanted the big sponge bob so I considered it a consolation prize.
