i,ve got a soft spot for the early daf 2800-3300 my old pop had a sreg 2800 i went everywere with him bunking of school saying we were off a couple of days i think he knew i was telling porkys :smiley: and i had a 3300 for years,gutted when they got rid of it,

i got to admit that daf did good things with that leyland engine! it might even be that the very latest are still based around it, anybody know?

sorry to bring this oldie out of the cupboard but in 1957 i drove an eight wheeler going to back 1939 i believe, this was a maudslay mikado forerunner of the maudslay meritor have never seen a picture of one or don’t know if there is one in restoration, god it was hard work pulling a trailer too you sure earned your pay on that only stuck it for a week or two, thanks harry long retired.

When the Bedford Tm first came out , wasnt it tagged “The Muscle Truck”? . . . the one that i drove for a while seemed to permenantly suffer from cramp!! - bloody pile of pooh

Sprado, The Leyland/AEC tieup was 62 and they launched the Ergo cab in 65, but there was a tieup in 1946 also.
