Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

That’s for sure.
From my point of view some things aren’t as good as they used to be, some things are better but overall for me the jobs not that much different to when I started doing it 26 years ago. A lot of the same complaints you hear now you heard then.

You were lucky!! We did all that and more, but we still had to pay the boss for the privilege of working for him.
And my parrot died

No it’s not dead, just pineing for the fjords.
Beautiful plumage though squire, the norweigan blue!
I had an incident Saturday mornin about 5 ish comin thru Brum,i was behind this wagon and he was dawdling so i pulled out to overtake him.I got alongside his cab then he started messin about with the cruise control and he started to pull away.He then just sped off so i had to pull back in.This is the kind of arrishole thats driving now so Mr ATL i think you need to grow up and drive in a proffessional manner. This is why our job is going down the pan
It will be soon 5 years as I have my lorry driving license, and during this time the rules changed three times already (well, at least in Poland if not in Britain), and on each occasion the rules went more complicated, more stupid and more annoying.
I am really glad that I am driving sprinters now. If I only had a sleeping cab in mine, I would be a happy bunny.

well i have only been driving a short while and well i find handball breaks up the day i know its class 2 and different enviroment but im only 22 and looking to do my class 1 soon, but im working delivering to shops all over uk so i kind of know most ppl in the shops and dont do rdc apart from collections.
That’s how I & many others started, handball can be fun, especially if you’re doing retail stuff & delivering to shops, much better totty in shops than in RDC booking in offices & you can always pop into a chippy or whatever for your dinner while you’re unloading in the street, it doesn’t compare to driving a 141 over the Alps, but it’s a good way to start out & it keeps you fit too, I’m glad I did it, not as glad as I am now that I’m not doing it now though
