Damm good point, The answer i would chuck at this question is this i also have a regular run which has me hitting the A roads this load is 27.5t however taking my time sticking to the legal speed limits driving the truck within the green band i can get 7- 7.5mpg Advice i can give on this is , keep the truck well maintained change oil and filters regular,

Yes i agree with your answer keeping a well maintained truck and not driving like a hooligan will all contribute to getting the most mpg out of the vehicle, even down to basic factors like tyre pressures will make all the difference.
At the end of the day its simple in reality its not a black art, which requires eye of newt and leg of toad…

Some people out there will lead you to believe it is…
