as above what are the rules regarding job applications and the sending of C.V’S ?
should the company you send them to keep them confidential ?
i even put a note on the form requesting they do not contact my current employer without first talking to me and i think they have .
the bummer of it is i dont want to work for anyone else im perfectly happy where i am other than i cant earn enough working for them .
so whats the rules ?
If you know the Rules or not doesn’t matter 
You would have to proof that someone did against the Rule to be able doing anything against it

As far as I know that would not be the case if you state in writing that your current employer should not be contacted (or tick the relevant box if provided) since it would effectively be a provable breach of confidence.
It would certainly be unethical IMO.
