Truck Drivers who seem to not understand lanes or slip roads.Joining a motorway today heading to Crewe, indicator on and doing 50mph , Dutch driver could move over , speed up or slow down as the road was clear. What he do? NOTHING!! lets me run onto the hard shoulder - Prick
THEN!!! He decides hes going to undertake me as I get into the middle lane for the road to split off and cuts across infront of an old Dear bimbling along at 50mph as well.
Then!! Driving back via M53, Abbey Wagon pulls onto motorway just before Cheshire Oaks. The left lane is for Cheshire Oaks so either you stay in there or you indicate and come out as if to head to Liverpool. He doesn’t indicate after I flash to let him know he can come out, so I pull away get up to 54mph notice its a young lad, bout my age (24-25) looking down at his phone, throws his indicator on, slows right down and forces two cars out into outside lane to let him in.
I am in no way a perfect driver but I do try to take lane discipline and slip roads seriously.
He’s not a prick for not moving over you are ,it’s down to you to sort your self out when joining from a slip road ,why would a left ■■■■■■ risk moving over ?
+1
The line on the slip road means give way, in the uk both drivers tend to adjust a bit or move over but ultimately it is up to you to adjust, this is generally not the case in europe, it is not uncommon to see someone stopped at the end of the slip road waiting to join the main road. (it happened to me once joining the M6 from the M62 a long time ago, there was someone stopped at the end of the slip waiting for a gap) like you I grumbled to a traffic cop friend of mine about the incident it was then he reminded me about the give way nature of the slip lane line

I hate the [zb] that cut in and it’s well over 50% of hgv drivers and 90% of puddle jumper drivers
Hate pricks that park in stupid places at services as they can’t park their rig in an actual ■■■■■■■■■■■■.
Funnily enough don’t mind the euro drivers here, can’t see how they’re any worse then our own cretin hgv drivers.
Lorry drivers that call lorries “rigs”
40 mph brigade.
Guarantee every A road runs smoothly till you meet ‘‘the one’’, and there is always ‘‘the one’’
Drivers that are on the limiter on every road , and drive up your ■■■ when your obeying the LAW

The legal limit is 40 mph. I don’t know of anyone who likes it, lorry and car drivers alike, but there you are - it’s a legal limit. My one and only speeding fine (in 30 years’ driving) for doing 37 in a 30 cost me about £500 in the initial fine and five subsequent years’ insurance premium hikes.
It will be a moot point soon, anyway, once the 50mph is introduced. I expect that the complaint will be …

that would be me but then thats the speed limit live with it
I was mildly irritated by a the Jewson lorry I was following between Faringdon and Lechlade this morning. At most he did 35 but slowed everytime anything larger than a van went in the opposite direction, and cornered like he had a cup of Horlicks perched on his head…
I overtook on the A361 and he was of “a past generation” shall well say.
People who moan about everyone else because there perfect, see above posts… nobbs

A lorry drivers worst enemy is another ■■■■■■■ lorry driver…
Drivers who park next to you at night, leave their cab doors open so that they can hear the loud music while they get ■■■■■■ with their mates; then get up early only to find they’ve run the battery down. So they bang on your door demanding that you move your lorry so that they can jump-start each other. And because you don’t speak Lithouanian you can’t tell them what you think of this behaviour. Happened to me in Germany once. Robert
The knob who left me stranded in the middle lane, north bound M1 just past Newport Pagnell, today !!!
I was running at around 36 tons & just got past an Artic when a Poxy van pulled out of the services, ■■■■■■■ about at around 45 mph, a BMW pulled out behind him & went to overtake, pulling in front of me, then slows down, puts his hazards on & pulls behind the van & onto the hard shoulder.
I lost all my momentum just before the hill & Mr Knob in his Artic (lift axle in the air, so I presume he was empty) saw what was happening but decided to start undertaking me, instead of letting me in & just go round me, up the hill, we elephant raced up the hill (he won) & I finally pulled into the inside lane just before we got to the top of the hill.
KNOB !

You must be reading a different post to me. I don’t think anyone is claiming to be perfect. And calling them ‘nobbs’ [sic] ruins any reasonable argument you may have in the first place.

Spelt nobbs wrong anyway !
Pet peeve of mine is drivers joining from a slip road who are unable to adjust their speed to traffic and feel they have a right to the space occupied by another vehicle, such is their poor judgement that they usually end up on the hard shoulder after a massive slip road.

And ‘there’
I sort of get what is being implied by OTS, that nobody is perfect and complaining about specific incidents only proves that we all have an ‘off’ day. There is an HGV driver who, no doubt, thinks that I am total a-hole because I pulled out in front of him in my car at about 30mph - totally my fault and a pretty stupid thing to do, but out of character for me and has made me more careful since. I would think that 99% of the people who do something stupid didn’t do so deliberately and would be mortified if they knew how close they came to causing an incident/accident. I’ve only been driving HGV for three months and have been lucky to get employment with a company that has let me get on with it but also provided support and guidance. Being out on the road for 12 hours a day inevitably means that I see annoying driving by all types (including me!) every day, but keeping a sense of proportion and not worrying about it has kept my stress levels to an absolute minimum!

At the end of the day I doubt theres anyone who has been more annoying on the roads than me… at some point I shown every manner of muppetry (well apart from the slip road thing) possible and due to the amount of miles I drive its highly likely I will annoy someone else again.
Perhaps going a whole week without getting the horn (so to speak) or coffee beans I consider an acheivement.
In the end no matter how stupid I feel another driver is I have done worse.
So what annoys me about other drivers is well nothing as when i’ve calmed down I realise i’ve been there, done it, got the T-shirt etc…
But what I do notice is when other drivers do something that makes my day easier, whether its being flashed in, someone letting me through in a situation I don’t have priority or just general courtesy on the roads. In the end its easy to be a crap driver at some moment in time (lets face it most of us are, especially the self righteous dash cam brigade) but we all strive for those moments of perfection when another road user might think–‘blimey he /she’s a good driver’…
Edit: Oh except Tipper drivers, there just horrendous and even give me a run for my money on sheer muppetry.
