Having only had my class 1 for two and a half years, I have mainly driven fairly new trucks (I have a '59 plate auto) Today I drove our shunter 50 miles back to our yard. It had been stood for 1 year, new batteries on and fired up straight away!
It is a Seddon Atkinson T reg with an eaton twin splitter… never ever driven anything like it before, drove it round the carpark for 5 minutes then off I went! Well, I have well and truly fallen in love and realised that this is what driving a truck should really feel like!!! Fantastic!! )

The novelty will soon wear off and you’ll be screaming for your 59 plate auto back!
New relationships are always fun…
…until you start to see those things that at first niggle then eat away at you.
Thankyou.
Bah humbug all you lot!
after you stopped using the clutch, how many tunes did you play on the gearbox?
once you master the twin splitter, they are a fantastic gearbox
There were a few tunes Rob but I loved every minute
old trucks are fun for short periods
