An acquaintance of ours owns Harsh but I have not heard much from him this year.
I’m thinking of replacing the ram on my trailer in the not too distant future so if you could just get back in contact and see if you can get me a discount…

I don’t think he became a millionaire Yorkshireman by giving big discounts to his friends

That’s another reason we use Hyva Paul, we can drop a trailer off at their place and they’ll remove & strip the ram, replace the damaged/worn sections & re-fit the ram. (or of course fit a new one) This works for us as they’re only 35 miles away but from your side of ‘the hill’ it might not be economical.
Hi
I have experience of using, and fitting, Stallion and Hyva kits. Find them both to perform equally well and haven’t had many problems with either. Also if I remember correctly the pumps tend to be universal. Is the PTO cover on the back of your gearbox square approx. 100x100mm. with 4 bolts?
just had a look at the tipping gear, looks really clean and tidy set up, but it has two big hoses , not the normal one, which goes to the trailer? not seen that before, on a fh12 2000 manual gearbox…

I have taken off the wet gear from this 2000 fh12, so if anybody does want a set up let me know, i reckon big is right, its walking floor type, with two big pipes, im guessing seperate flow and return.
Ive been quoted 1140 today for a new complete edbro wet kit for an actros, including pto (including all switchwork) with side mount steel tank. £100 more for alloy tank. and they reckon it should take 1/2 day for us to fit

James
We’ve fitted dozens of these and we can’t fit one in half a day, especially if the trucks an Auto, double especially if your fitting a side tank and chassis mounted ‘stuff’ needs moving.

That sounds like a good deal, I was always told they were about 1800quid fitted so if you can get a kit for 1140 even if it takes a whole day to fit then that’s good value.
Don’t forget though you’ll also need something like 200litres of oil which is going to set you back another couple of hundred quid.
