Were The Continental Lorry's Much Better?

wow, get with it guys old days are gone , there are so many new systems coming in that we all got to learn em and get the best out of em :laughing: :laughing:

The zf auto in dafs is poor but in ivecos the same gearbox is a lot better for some reason. It just seems to match the iveco engine much better.

Yeah we had Dafs and Ivecos with the same auto box neither was ideal but the Iveco was much better forward but in reverse they were both terrible .Try reversing into a tight spot on a slight uphill gradient where youve got to go back and fro fully loaded and youll struggle.Its all or nothing with them ,i think if youve got an operation where theres lots of shunting involved they arent ideal,the Scania opticruise with the clutch pedal was our last choice which worked well on shunting duties and in our experience compared with the Dafs and Ivecos was much better but they were expensive compared to the other 2, the company i work for now have gone back to manuals Thats our experience and when the Daf driver trainer came over and had the same problems well …
