Hey Martyn arn’t you down at your 2 berth caravan throwing empty "Wife beater " cans into those nice English peoples pitch next door!!!Hay is way above my intellectual pay grade!! I’m more fitted to giving a speech in “the Shutonger” at Tewkesbury to explain to some of these Welshmen what the words “working legal” means!!! Cheers to you all for the bank holiday! Bewick.
Hi Dennis,
If you look on your map. Hay On Wye is right on the English border, you could come down and stand as the next King of Hay as Richard Booth the King of Hay has now relinquished the title as far as I know. You would make a worthy successor.
Cheers Dave.

Good Idea Dave but how deep is the ditch there? I’ll need a start if I have to run for it after I’ve gesticulated at the Welshmen on the other side!!!Cheers Dennis “King of the Marches”!!!

Being an ex lorry driver and very courteous I waited in Ellesmere, Shropshire for this driver to reverse into a side road.
And most grateful he was too.
And here’s me thinking the day’s of “Chivalry” were over!!! Dennis.

You would have to be a very good long jumper Dennis,it’s the Cusop Brook that you would have to clear to escape the wrath of the Welsh, not that there are many in Hay,it’s mainly arty people from England that have invaded the place, that are there now.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Dave do you not get awash with coffee visiting all those cafe/truckstops, have’nt time for a cuppa myself just breaking my new laptop in just had a young friend from across the street setting it up for me it only took him ten minutes and i still would’nt have a clue having watched him i’m beginning to think i must have feathers for brains, it seems to be quite a tidy bit of kit has a built in webcam, would’nt dare use that even if i knew how it would terrify people seeing me looking out at them, don’t know how to use it anyway and if anybody want’s to show me i don’t want to know, so i’ve just got to learn how to use the keyboard bit now and then i’ll be able to give the old retrobate Norm a bit of stick, it’s payback time !! just hope he’s not a big bruiser i’m hoping to meet him at the BRS show in July at the Lincoln Farm Cafe, hope i’m not showing up to receive a black eye my battling days are long gone, enough of my rubbish for now, i think i’m getting the idea.

Hi Harry,
Glad to hear your all sorted with your new laptop. You have been missed on these threads the last few weeks.I’m sure Norm will be glad your back on to have a bit of verbal jousting again.
I only went into the Midway out of the cafes feature in the pic’s,have been in the others at different times. They are all still proper transport cafes which as you know are getting less.Hope you have a good time at Lincoln Farm Cafe at the BRS show, will be on holiday then, but hope to get to the show at Gaydon later in the month.
Cheers Dave.
A few parked opposite the Midway Truckstop at Prees Heath.
Hi boys
Great photos as usual Dave, you must have been on one of those rare days when VOSA hadn’t taken over the truck park. By the way I hope you’ve trained Tracy to buy the teas
Regards Keith.

Hi Keith,
Vosa were on the park when we stopped at the Midway.Phil said they are often there,I said it must hit his trade,he said it does.must hit the Raven as well.I buy the tea,Tracy takes the pics, although with the discount card it’s reasonable to eat and drink there.
Cheers Dave.
Hi boys
Dave that Coles truck must have a regular tip up our way he’s there most weeks. I go past there each morning to work and see it there. The quality of the photos Tracy takes you should be treating her to one of Phils extra large breakfasts not just a mug of tea
Regards Keith
