It sure is. My brother has a couple of dvd’s taken on this road either in the 80’s or 90’s, pretty interesting how trucks have changed…

hiya,
Dave it’s quite a few baking days since since I trundled a motor around that
traffic island, is there an old established transport cafe just adjacent to the
“doughnut” and did it do overnight accomodation ie’ proper beds where you
kipped away from the motor?? I seem to recollect stopping there once or
twice in the late 60s, I seem to remember visiting a nearby pub which wasn’t
“ten days camel ride” away, but the way my memory works now I’m more than
likely to be in the wrong county.
thanks harry, long retired.

I remember the cafes at Whitchurch further on towards Monmouth Harry.I can’t remember what was at Wilton to be honest. There is a Pub,just off the doughnut towards Ross.We didn’t use that way a lot from this direction. We either went Ledbury or Trumpet to Gloucester or down to Whitchurch missing Ross on Wye area travelling from here.I did used to come back through Ross for a change sometimes if I took a load down towards Swindon area.
Cheers Dave.
