It’s a shame they aren’t still running their own fleet, the Roger’s family had some super looking moters .
Cheers Dave.

That’s the one I always see you in,your regular, has the Scania got a rear steer as well Andrew
Cheers Dave.

Very nice set of photos of JPRs, always were a very smart fleet and sadly missed.
Hi Dave ,yes the scania was pretty much the same spec as the Volvo, unfortunatly the Volvo has now gone to Cotswold Fuels, when I came off sick the other drivers wernt up to driving a auto on the welsh work, and prefered to drive a older Daf CF twin drive., any further suggestions where the shot was taken ?
and sorry Harry, thanks for the offer and cracking car that the Vauxhall is,hope you dont mind if I pass at the moment, but ill bear it in mind.
regards Andrew.

Possibly on the long Mynd Andrew or in Mortimer Forest, but I’m only guessing.
Cheers Dave.

Which truck show is that one seen Dave

Another at the Pitstop cafe, never been keen on white lorries, suppose it’s cheaper for the operators to leave them in factory colour.

Hi atkidave, not sure that I agree with you there !, still maintain that it depends what firm you are working for… Countrywide or Billy Smarts.
call me old fashioned but I dont think that you can beet a properly painted wagon, and why do they need all those spot lights ?
regards Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
Most of the blokes on the other side of your outfit like the bling and the murals on the lorries. I see them quite a bit, they backload out of the Quarries a fair bit,the one with the Two Ronnies looks good. It’s all down to choice I suppose,it must cost a bit.
Cheers Dave.

What’s all those lights on there Andrew.
Good pic of your Dad with your girls.
Cheers Dave.

It’s all down to personal choice at the end of the day Andrew, according to R** ******S my Borderer is ‘all ■■■■■■■■ and chrome’.

andrew brick:

whats all these extra lights and mudflaps doing on that bumper?

ahhh Dave, never daid that you dont need some lights, recon the beacon is ok and found the two spots on the roof rite handy, but why would you need more than two ?. Rhys fitted the spots on our old 111, guilty of the mudflaps though, stopped some of the mud in the quarry.
regards Andrew

Must be getting old and grumpy these days, and recon that I am getting a bit like my old dad, he hated anything added onto a lorry, I remember him painting out two welsh stickers that Rhys had stuck on the front bumper of the Scania, and im not guilty of the viking or the michelin man either.
My eyes are getting tired to but its a bugger when you meet a waggon coming towards you with loads of extra lights.
regards Andrew.

hiya,
Andrew are you and me the only people on here who agree about those silly lights which can only be used to say “hello” if the lawman is’nt knocking about and those even sillier “cowcatchers” on the fronts, just payload robbers if you ask me, surely the gaffers don’t lay good money out to make their motors look stupid so it must be the drivers themselves who have money to burn, funny how i managed forty odd accident free years on just headlights and an orange flasher i could stick on top when moving big stuff, now i’m going to keep my head down for a bit.
thanks harry long retired.

on reaching your century Dave[/b]
