Only 2 of us dave. There used to be 3 of us, but were down now to around 40-50 loads a day. When i started it was way up over a hundred loads.
You’d have plenty to snap at if it picks up again.

Could be a while before that happens Tony, although there are a few houses still being built. I don’t think we have seen the worst ot this recession yet.
Cheers Dave.

This J Heebink lorry reminds me of delivering too Morrison’s - Wakefield one time, as I reversed into a space in the line up, one of Heebinks LHD DAF’s was alongside me and the driver just nodded across. The yard man walked up to collect delivery notes from us both and say which bay we will later be put on, (mainly using signs to the dutch driver.) The other driver didn’t say a word just nodded to everything then as the yardman got out of range, I was surprised as the Heebink driver said to me in a Manchester accent. " Driving these dutch reg’ wagons kids them all ," it turned out he lived in Manchester and they had some wagons based in Trafford Park but on Dutch plates with Dutch livery.

Hi Harry,
You have hit the nail on the head there, the chaap drives it on a car licence, you are ok up to 7.5 as lomg as you had a car licence before 1989,he also has a beavertail plant lorry the same. He is talking of taking his test for the bigger rigid,so that he can run a bigger skip lorry. He runs on my cpc,he’s tthe easiest Ive ever had, keeps the kit up together and does very little mileage,no chace of breaking the law on driving time.
Cheers Dave.
