sammy dog:
hi dave thats a nice looking 3 series with the cattle box cheers martyn from pembrokeshire still.

Hi Martyn,
Benn a nice day here, hope it was down in Pembroke. Don’t know if that Scania was piped for a drag or not, didn’t get to look at the back end of it,looks a bit low to run as a straight rigid.
Cheers Dave.

hi dave been really nice down here this morning sun shining clouded over this afternoon gone cold now could the 3 series be stretch tractor but i can see its a 3 axle mate of mine buys tractor units then has them stetched for his cattle box newest one is 4 series.

Hi Martyn,
Almost definitely a stretch tractor unit. Roy Edwards from Knighton who had the Scania dealership before West Pennine used to store ex lease hire Scania units, about four hundred at a time,he sold quite a few to differenr people who had them stretched,my cousin had a unit a 3 series with a 320 in and had it stretched to a six wheeler rigid and did livestock with it,they were good moters, and not too dear as far as I know. He used to keep them stored until they went to auction,or if he sold any.
Cheers Dave.

Didn’t go friday Tony, had a ride by on thursday afteernoon, got a few pics, the guy on the gate wouldn’t let me through with the van for health and safety reasons, which was fair enough. Will have a look again, the barriers were up at your place.
Cheers Dave.

I think the gates were stuck.
Iv’e got plenty of chance to get some pictures at work, but i don’t know what reaction i’d get from the drivers, and my lot would surlely think that iv’e too much time on my hands.Even though they do already.

Hi Tony,
Realise its a bit difficult for you taking pics at work,if I’m allowed in there I’ll get some pics, will try not to upset any drivers.I usually go in where it’s a bit iffy, thats my trouble, should be more cautious, too old to change now.
Just spent a lot of hours reloading a load of pics I put onto albums off this thread, then lost, now most are back on here, can put any missing on again.
Cheers Dave.

I don’t think they’d allow someone on site. There are security cameras everywhere and security are always about.
Just before you turn onto the site there is a pull in by a metal shed, that would be a good place to get vehicles coming and going, and all the kit that goes into the sale.

Hi Tony,
To be fair they have to have security, also I suppose there’s plenty of health and safety issues as well,no problem I can get pics from
Milton Cross area,as they have to come that way,due to the weight limit.
Cheers Dave.
