Hi Harry,
You are right about the drop,its not the best of places along that stretch,there’s been a few slips and subsidance over the years,just where that lorry is passing was rebuilt a few years back,there was traffic lights for several years after a slip. Them McAlpines rebuilt it.

It’s no wonder the Daf driver is just about hugging the white line, bet he’s got both hands on the handlebars, another couple of foot width would’nt go amiss at that point.

Too right about that Harry,its quite a busy link between South and North Wales,also there is a big timber mill near Newbridge On Wye,south of Rhayader and there’s a lot of timber heading into there,with a lot of woodchips etc heading out back up to Kronospan at Chirk.

Smart looking tipper that,looks good with the globetrotter cab.Several of the tipper operators this way as you have seen run FM’s.

hi dave i bought her brand new in may 2001 went straight into tarmac at south cornelly quarry probably the best truck i ever bought we changed the body about sept 09 in my opinion the version 1 was far better than the 2 at 1 time we had all volvo s that truck drove like brand new untill we sold her to a fella in s/hampton,when i scan the photo s ill post them in tarmac days cheers martyn.
