Pete Hi , another Telford haulier , by the way have enjoyed your pics on the Foden thread , cc .

Aaron where was this picture taken ? Is it Blockleys , as their was a haulier called Frank Rawson the other side of Oakengates who had wagons in their colours and were AECS Albions and Scammells , he also did work out of GKN taking components up to the Albion works in Scotland .
Pete can you remember F Rawson ? ,thank you Trevor .

Trevor , Hi , i really can not remember the exact location , it certainly was not the brickworks , more likely a hauliers yard as it featured green AECs and Leylands , best wishes to you both @

Hi CC,
Was the AEC photographed in Alf Whitehouse’s yard? Trevor/CC/Keith, What was the haulier’s name from Hinstock, pre by-pass days, heading towards Newport out of Hinstock on A41 past Bulls Head pub and it was on your left hand side after 200 yds, done block haulage?

Pete Hi , no the AEC was not taken at Whitehouses yard ,but definitley the Telford area ,around i think Donnington that way
Have to say i would not know any haulier from Hinstock , but this FL10 of Orwells is from the other side of Market Drayton . Their yard is on the bank of the canal heading towards Audlem . I am familiar with hauliers in this area due to canal holidays when i was a kid . cc

Hi Pete , that is certainly Sam Bowkett , he was renowned for his Fodens ,the bottom shot is the type purchased from Bulmers .most of his work was from the Orb steelworks Newport , a regular drop of his was GEC Rugby i seem to remember , cheers pete great shots , regards Keith .

Fore-runner to Taylor’s of Martley

Pete Hi , Do you remember Kay from Hodnet , and her pink Scania ? cc

“Pink Lady” as I recall? She also ran an F88 for a while but I don’t think the driver and her were suited. I used to meet her quite regularly at one time on the M1 or M25.

Hi CC/ROF,
Kay had a 142 in pink and pulled a tipper trailer, did she used to keep the Four Crosses pub on the A41 by Edwards’s and parked just past Sandford Bridge on the right in that Ind park.

I’ve no idea about the pub, Pete, but I can confirm that she pulled a tipper with the Scania.
Just heard from another forum that Kay has become quite ill and is keen to put her memories to paper. Short article and photos on Facebook- Gloucestershire Hauliers and Drivers.
