Hiya,
Do you want a hand wrapping that sheet up driver…
thanks harry, long retired.
Yes Harry, if there was another driver about they’d always give you a hand to fold the sheets, without asking most of the time too !
It was always said in my latter days as a driver that a good driver could sheet a load as quick as a driver with a tautliner.
I know I’ve been surprised once or twice when clipping up the curtains on a tautliner to look round and see someone just finishing roping up !
MAGIC:

Not sure if the sheet is off that, judging by there being two blokes sat in the cab. That looks like a site in Llandrindod Wells.
Dave the Renegade:
Neil Richards with a Seddon/Atkinson artic.
Nice to see this one: it was ex-W. H. Bowker, but actually new to an operator in Hull, I think Springfield Haulage
Hiya,
I only ever loaded one 50 foot trailer load of hay it looked like the
leaning tower of Pisa, but it got to it’s location OK, I blamed the
sloping field the load was dead square and the lean didn’t show up
until I got onto level going it did get to it’s destination though it
was destined for Amsterdam and I was taking it to Hull to be put
unaccompanied on the ferry don’t know what the Dutch driver
thought when he arrived to pick it up for delivery.
thanks harry, long retired.
Dave the Renegade:
A Foden Alpha artic, seen on the A44 at Llangurig, Mid Wales.
Can’t get the reg Dave, almost looks like it could be ex. Smiths of Blechington. Muckaway would know.
Looks like LNT which is Shropshire or LMT John. Pic gets a bit distorted when magnified .
Cheers Dave.

It won’t be ex Smiths then Dave, Smiths didn’t have the red grill, but could have been painted after, there were a few running about, and the new owners always seemed to keep them in the Smiths colours.
