The Mid Wales Meat CO LTD, were base at Nantmel, Radnorshire where they had an abattoir. These trailers were pulled by two Volvo F12’s.
Hi Dave , is that abbatoir still operating ? I remember a haulier from Oswestry was doing a lot out it , and the one at Weobley , regards Keith .
Hello Dave and Keith . the haulier from Oswestry would probably have been Morris transport they were from West felton , before moving to the industrial estate in Oswestry , all there wagons are plain white . They do a lot of hanging meat in imid wales for Hamers at llanidloes . thank you Trevor .

Yes Trevor, the main agent for Commer was at Llanidloes. They sold a lot of Commer Maxiload’s. I drove oone for C W Griffiths excellent lorry in those days.

Hello again dave you know i have just spoken on the phone to an old mate of mine , who says the Commer could also have been S J Morris Llanfechain , who did stock work or H V Owen from New mills . Those 2 strokes were niosy but reliable , you know there was a bus company from wrexham who had Commer buses, you could here em a mile away , Thanks Dave , Trevor
