The Daf and Renault out on delivery’s
Super-looking little fleet. Just proves how you can keep them looking decent even when they’re working.

Don’t think so, Dave. I was probably long gone by the time he came around. It would have been the early 70s when I was hauling out of Beech’s.

No Casey, I worked with Doug Dawe and Freddie Brace hauling out of the Gore quarry in 1969. Doug had an eight wheeler AEC with the older cab, and Freddie had two eight wheeler two stroke Fodens all yellow in Mann-Abell colours.
Dave.
I didn’t get into the Gore until early 80s, Dave- that was with the F88 for Stan Pugh (the one who kept Reg & Norman in spuds). A few years later I renewed my aquantance with the Kington quarries with John Margrett’s B-series ERF before he bought me a Daf.

I remember John Margretts and Glyn Morris wagons hauling from the Gore Casey, but that was earlier than your time up here.
Cheers Dave.

Dave there was a Morfa driver in Eardisley , did not know his name , an Atkinson was parked up in the old station yard , with another driver over at Monkland , who as i recall drove their Merc for a while .
And thanks to you i can remember the Blueline driver at Dorstone , didnt know his name , but remember the AEC Mandator he had . Nostalgia ! regards Keith.Hi Keith,
Gordon Underhill drove for Morfa from Monkland, and still lives there. Don’t know who drove for them and parked at Eardisley. John ( Hoppy ) Watkins drove for Morfa and lived in Eardisland, parked his lorry near Lawtons Cross . Peter Lloyd from Kington and Wyndam ( Kimmo ) Habberley from Llandrindod Wells also drove for them.
Cheers Dave.Frank Morgan was the driver who parked in Eardisley station yard.
Cheers, Jack.
Retrieved this post of yours Jacko1. Glyn Williams from Dorstone RIP drove for Blueline for many years, and ended up driving for KTH when I was CPC holder there, a nice bloke. Can’t remember if it was Keith or yourself who asked about him.
Cheers Dave.

He was at Kilcott, wasn’t he Casey, and Glyn Morris at Lea.
Cheers Dave.
JRM was at Hope Mansell, Dave. Glyn moved from the old Weston’s biscuits depot at Lea Line to Kilcot Garage.
You’ve forgotten all those posts on the FoD thread from years ago!
