No one kept it long. I can’t remember who had it it new. I remember Martin Bullock running it, did Phil Morris have it new.
Cheers Dave.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it was new to Phil…it didn’t really convert us to Volvo fans!!

The Volvo and it’s slightly older replacement Leyland Daf

Its all down to operating costs James, and the FL6 obviously wasn’t cost effective.
Cheers Dave.

Body on and ready to go

On the test load…all in all it turned out to be a good wagon really

Did you drive either of these James ?

I didn’t drive either one full time Dave, just the odd night or weekend as i drove the six wheel Daf

Only Mark Jones with a four wheeler up here thes days James. When I was driving, they were the backbone of the quarries, with just a few six and eight wheelers. Now the majority are artics. Different day and ae.
Cheers Dave.

Tipping at the rail sidings.

Waiting to tip Tar at the Birdlip…long old slog up there!
