Small world John, always interesting to know where these wagons are from. Don’t have a chance to see the name as you pass on the road.
Cheers Dave.

You got Smiths yard, the Rock of Gibraltar pub then Bagnells yard, used to haul a lot of coal in there years ago for J&B. Lovely part of the world, canal runs behind with narrow boats moored up all along the canal. Had a few pints in The Rock, good old pub was once owned by the Smith family, as was all the land around it.
cheers
John.

I think the one on the left is a Dennis, or maybe a Leyland, the next two are Thorneycroft’s, the little one on the end is a Bedford. Any thoughts on this

No one has come forward to dispute what you say about the make’s of lorry John.
Cheers Dave.

Hope I’m right Dave.
cheers
John.

A couple of them were my apprentices, Dave. I had to teach them to rope & sheet as they were immigrants from Westmorland and didn’t have a clue! :unamused:

thanks harry, long retired.

Not many people know this, but I was sent from God’s Own County to be a missionary in ■■■■■■■■ Unfortunately, I was kidnapped by a member of the female persuasion when I got to this damned place so those who were unfortunate enough to pilot those rattly red things from Milnthorpe never got the benefit of my roping and sheeting expertise. This is why a certain company only took traffic which was easy to cover and secure.
