John

Bulmers had a lot of these hauling from their various premises in Hereford on shunting goods around.

Hiya,
Did quite a bit out of Bulmer’s Hereford when on for the BRS, always handball and
always Liverpool docks where you had to unload yourself when finally getting into
the shed, and the bees and wasps on the external loading area at Hereford when
the weather was a bit on the warmish side, you didn’t have to be in a hurry.
thanks harry, long retired.

that was always a sore point harry , bloody idle dockers it’s no wonder they put themselves out of work . all that handball that we did they got paid for , in our case it was bagged lime and the cheeky sods demanded , and got , dirt money for offloading and never touched a bag . we went inn convoy and unloaded each other m , and made damned sure there were plenty of burst bags for them for them to clean up . wish i had a quid for every day wasted on the dock road . cheers , dave

Seagull’s are the biggest menace around Bulmers these day Harry and Dave. There are more of those things around Bulmers and
Cargill Meats ( formerly Sun Valley ) than at the seaside. Bulmers in recent years have moved a lot of their production to Ledbury spending 110 million there, but the Carlsberg and Heineken groups who now own them have recently announced a 59 million pound investment at the Hereford site.
Cheers Dave.

I remember them well Keith, used to see them up and down the streets in Hereford travelling between their various works premises.
Cheers Dave.

Don’t know what that one is on David. I know they kept one unit for the pallet network,so that must be the one. Nice pic. If I can copy the pic I will send it to Tim Sheers who drives it.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave how’s it going, no that’s not me I don’t venture that far now a days, they sold that unit about a year ago now took the writing off the doors but left the front, still have the sister to that one though running up to the hub every night.
