As you say its always been busy Trevor. For several years there has been talk of a link road from Conods garage to the A49 bypass, which would take a lot of the through traffic out of Leominster. When it happens it will be a good thing, but with all the cut backs in road building, it could be a long time coming.
Cheers Dave.

Yes Trevor Newtown bypass is being built next year. Conods garage is at Barons Cross where all the old wagons are for sale. Bengrys were down by the lights at the Bargates, they still have a shop and petrol station there, there main car sales premises is now on the old Hereford Road which is a big site.
Cheers Dave.

I have heard that it is on that side Keith, but if it was the other side it would need to cross the Severn a couple of times. I am on working organisation with a Newtown Councillor and will ask him.
Cheers Dave.

I agree Keith, but I think Builth Wells will get a bypass before Rhayader, because of the Showground etc. Rhayader badly needs a bypass, only last week a coach got caught up with the clock, also all the wagons going in and out of the BSW sawmill and all the other heavy stuff passing through there.
Cheers Dave.

Dave , how come Builth did not get a by pass when Newbridge got its ? Again with Builth another river crossing , but good fun to see 2 wagons meet in Rhayader by the clock . Keith .

I think the Newbridge one got done because, it also bypasses Cwmbach and other places where a lot of fatal accidents have occurred. The railway bridge at Cwmbach was always getting hit, as was the Ithon bridge below Newbridge.
Cheers Dave.
