A bit small for Harry Gill, this wag & drag, seen on the A438 near Llowes, Radnorshire.

hiya,
This would have been a lot smaller and lighter than I drove back in the day,
nowadays though I’d be in need of a hand to get in the cab of this baby, the
auto box and the everything power assisted would have been nice though.
thanks harry, long retired.

I wouldn’t know if this one has the I shift or manual gearbox Harry. It looks like a specialist vehicle for some purpose.
Cheers Dave.

Pontrilas seem to be changing to Scania’s after running M A N’s for a while, seen on the A465 Hereford.

hello Dave , they used to have a lot of Fodens , would see them often at Shotton paper , dont see them so often now , thank you Trevor .

Yes they did run several Fodens Trevor, also had a Volvo F88. I think most of their timber goes to their own mill at Pontrilas these days. There is a huge stack of timber there, also a lot of biomass artics hauling woodchip etc from there.
Cheers Dave.

Hello again Dave , tailking of biomass you may have seen Alan Morris of Sandycroft down your way , they bhave smart green scanias , and i think they load out of pontrilas sometimes . thank you Trevor .

Have seen Allan Morris artics about a lot over the years Trevor, but haven’t seen many recently.
Cheers Dave.

They still have a licence at Sandycroft and Mold until 2019 Trevor, so they must still be operating.
Cheers Dave.
